South Ayrshire Council Report

Both Councillor Hugh Hunter and Councillor Helen Moonie informed the meeting that ‘PARKING’ within the Prestwick area is a major problem and that a number of complaints have been received by them from residents. The Local Transport Strategy will be meeting very soon to hopefully sort this situation out.

Civic Pride

South Ayrshire Council has agreed to set aside a sum of money from its Civic Pride budget for 2007/08 to enable community councils to apply to fund projects which will boost Civic Pride in their community.
We have been allocated £7,000 for Prestwick North area.
We ask you, the public, to help us come up with ways of using this funding. There are a few rules and regulations which have to be met when applying for this funding, but that is something which we will deal with. What we need is your ideas… so get your think-tanks on and lets get those ideas rolling in.
Please send your ideas to happy129@hotmail.com or alternatively phone the Chairperson on 01292 477063 or Secretary on 01292 478437.

The next meeting of the community council will be held on 30th October 2007 at Monkton and Prestwick North Parish Church Hall starting at 1900 hrs. We welcome and encourage the public to attend all our meetings.
