At the Prestwick North Community Council monthly meeting held on Tuesday the 24th April 2007, the community councillors discussed various issues of interest within their boundaries.
Police ReportPolice Constable Peter Sykes submitted the following report to the meeting:
Crimes committed during the period 27th March – 24th April 2007
A total of 85 crimes were reported during this time of which 66 resulted in reports to the Procurator Fiscal.
Crimes of disorder - 6 Drug cases (3 of supplying & 3 of possession)
Vandalism – 1 detected, 13 enquiries ongoing.
Theft - 5 detected, 2 enquiries ongoing.
Assault - 6 detected, 1 enquiry continuing.
Road Traffic – 5 cases of drink driving.
Incidents of note:
Robbery at Spar shop on Adamton Road. A male is in custody for this offence.
Indecent assault at the Toll area. A male has been reported for this.
Some £6,000 worth of drugs have been seized.
Glenburn School has once again been the target of vandals. 6 windows have been smashed. The Police would ask all residents in the area to report anyone acting suspiciously within the area of this and all other schools.
South Ayrshire Council
Cllr Helen Moonie informed the meeting about the consultation questionnaire for the Local Transport Strategy. What are your priorities for transport? The “freepost” questionnaire is available in all SAC offices or can also be completed on line at: www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/council/transport/questionnaire.htm. Everyone who feels let down by the current transport system or who has any ideas as to the betterment of the system in Prestwick is encouraged to complete this questionnaire. All responses must be received by 30th April 2007.

PNCC are moving to new premises. The next meeting of the community council will be held on 29th May 2007 at Monkton & Prestwick North Parish Church Hall starting at 1900 hrs. We welcome and encourage the public to attend all our meetings.
