Prestwick North Community Council held their monthly meeting in Council Chambers, Links Road, Prestwick on 28th March 2006. 

There were a number of items discussed; as a result of the proposed new street name of Fairways View a petition was was sent to the Director of Development by local residents to have the street named Reids View in honour of the first Chairman of Prestwick North Community Council, in recognition of the outstanding service that he gave voluntarily, to improve the amenity of Prestwick.

The Community Council unanimously agreed with this proposal which is supported by Cllr Helen Moonie;  Cllr Margaret Toner is entering the War Memorial at Prestwick cross into the competition for the Best War Memorial; Beach cleaning has started and it is hoped to have flower beds along the sea front; on the matter of vandalism both St Ninians and Glenburn Primary schools have had their fair share.

The Police have made it clear that anyone found in school grounds after all school activities have finished, will be dealt with accordingly.  The Next meeting will be on Tuesday 25th April at 7. 00 p. m. in the Council Chambers at Links Rd Prestwick. All Community Council Meetings are open to and welcome members of the public.
